By this point you’re probably thinking… but what about Sally? Can we please get more Sally… as if you’re ordering her as a popular entre.
Trust me: She’s one tough dinner companion let alone meal… especially with a bad wine selection.
The #1 question I am asked is: “How did you meet Sally?”
The #2 question is: Why?”
(And yes that can be an answer—another question, that is…)
Almost embarrassingly, 2011 was been a spectacular year for Sally and myself… and in that order.
TimeOut Chicago named each of us "best" in our Shopping Award category, like Best in Show. No horsemeat allowed just yet. But we are both truly honored.
Sally’s Randolph Street Market took Best Reoccurring Vintage Market. My uber-biz partner Jeffrey Nelson and the dazzling dealers of BAM won Best Vintage Furniture Store.
A doubleheader? What are the odds? Danny Just Met Sally Again.
Just watch where you step in the manure we spread.
Hope you caught us this year on The Huffington Post (those so many times) or that feature in Maine Antique Digest? Lucky? Wall Street Journal? Internet Radio? Sally just scored an appearance on the new PBS hit, "Market Warriors." (See more Sally for your buck-- It just doesn't get any better, folks!)
Oh, my Sally-- I’ve seen her on television so many times... I thought she was a test pattern. Perhaps she has some American Indian in her... or at least spends too much time at casinos.
But if any of this sounds boisterous let me confess this now. The total truth:
Sally and I couldn’t buy good PR if we told them they were vowels.
This is Vintage Vengeance. Yesterday was foreplay... Today, my friend, is the big score!
