TREND ALERT: STUFFED ANIMALS IN RETAIL DISPLAY - Spooky Anorexic Mannequins to March on Washington

Animals, stuffed, both those that lived and those never alive except on a PBS kids show, were up and down and all around in Manhattan boutiques recently.
At first, I thought it was cool, when I saw the beautiful white peacock in a housewares store window. But then there were the the stuffed rats in the window of Jack Spade, the squirrel and pheasant greeters at Alexis Bittar, the assortment of dead but terrifying teeth baring weezils and monkey's in the new concept Tommy (Hilfiger) store, and what I was witnessing was obviously "THE DISPLAY TREND OF THE MOMENT!"
I thought, honestly, we expect spooky anorexic mannequins but who knew that taxidermy would become the next big thing in retail display???? This will surely make the fashion houses even more popular with PETA.
